Just call her Mrs. Butterfingers

Can you believe I met our Jan. 31 deadline of our “CD to MP3″ project? Last night I was a CD rippin’ fool, with two computers going at once. I used iTunes on my laptop (yes, you CAN rip using iTunes and not have it trapped all up in your jonx.. thank you Greg G.) [...]

all you need is zip

Last night’s “24″ was way weak. If last night’s “Heroes” and “24″ were put into a Celebrity Deathmatch Showdown of ‘Entertainment Value’, “Heroes” would be stomping the doody out of “24″. [SEMI-SPOILER AHEAD] Although I dug the “Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade” type ending with Jack and long lost father stuck in a troubling [...]

Mmmm.. gourmet donuts.

This past weekend, after waiting too long for an oil change and having a golf ball dislodged from our wheel-well, C & I went on a funky adventure to charming Annapolis, MD…which was surprisingly only about 30-35 minutes from our house. I was expecting a 3 hour drive.
I took several great photos — none of [...]

Accuweather says ‘brrr’

This morning, I checked out the Marty Z AccuWeather Diagnostic System (the thermometer on my deck) and it read “15 DEGREES” — 15 f’ing degrees in A-town this morning. Now, if you live in MAINE, like my sis and bro-in-law do, that’s a balmy day. But 15? Ooofah.

So this dude in PA hit a [...]

That’ll be $30k please.

Last night in the continuing quest to explore the fooderies in our new town, we hit up a sweet joint “The Fish Market” near the water in Old Town … the graphic here doesn’t really do the menu-cover justice, but it’s an old skool-style illustration that you don’t see much anymore. Menus these [...]

lye-de-dye

This morning, while getting ready for work I found myself singing Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose” in a kind of Irish sea-shanty style… I was singing the opening “la-da-da” part “lye-dee-dye-dee-dye” etc.
Weird.
Maybe I was thinking about ? Wasn’t that the theme to one of the early Batmans? Hmm.

Time for the quarterly Hollywood [...]

Jack vs. Bluetooth

MIND-BLOWING episode of 24 last night. I will spoil nothing — Ed B., looking in your general direction. “Heroes” awaits on the DVR.

VH1 and WebJunk has a great item..they’re counting down the 40 Greatest Internet Superstars…good way to catch up on the Internet phenoms you may have missed.

Find out if you can get a Verizon [...]

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Yesterday AM, after standing in line for two hours in 29 degree weather, I finally got a Nintendo Wii. It’s sleek. It’s compact. It’s white. It’s beautiful. Just like me.
Some people in line camped out overnight for 12 hours… I showed up in the AM before the snow fell, and was number 18 [...]

whippit good

This video blew my effing mind. We established yesterday that I don’t talk good at no math.
But brakes + hill + ice = bad news.
This footage comes from random Oregon dude hanging out on his balcony in Portland, Oregon earlier this week.

From Papa Z:
Kinda cute.
Bambi On Ice — then blown to safety

beginning of the end

Idiocracy, Mike Judge’s ‘barely-seen-in-theaters-but-was-supposed-to-come-out-last-fall’ is now available on Netflix.
Was it so awful the studios didn’t bother to release it? Maybe there were some deeper issues behind it.
Perhaps this article from TimeOut NY via Mike A. may shed some light on that.
View the Idiocracy trailer here.
Doesn’t look like a 10 Zap flick by any means, [...]
