A Pickly Doom

I saw “Superman Returns” last night at a pre-release / 10pm showing — very entertaining. (7.3 Zaps) As I’ve read in many reviews, Brandon Routh does indeed not only act like a good Clark Kent/S-man but a Clark Kent/S-man played by Christopher Reeve. I thought Kevin Spacey would annoy me as Lex — not so much…Parker Posey actually annoyed me more because there wasn’t enough of her wackiness in it…she was just kind of a timid henchwoman as opposed to the Alpha-female roles I’m used to seeing her in (Best in Show, Dazed & Confused). Kumar of “Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle” has the surprising role as one of Lex’s henchman.

Although it dragged at parts, and easily could’ve had 30 minutes cut from it, Bryan Singer did an excellent job at staying true to the ‘essence’ of Superman. The opening credits with the John Williams score and 3D style-titles flying made my cheeks hurt from smiling…I felt like I was 10 again.

The movie also includes a plot surprise that I definitely wasn’t expecting and makes me curious as to how they’ll treat future sequels.

In celebration of me finally seeing a decent Superman movie after 20 years, I present

Greg G. has gone on an extended journey and is currently sharing stories of his travels in New Zealand and beyond at The Garrison Show. Very funny and adventurous tales from the other side of the planet.

Last week the Stolen Sidekick saga came to a conclusion. Sasha had been arrested and the Sidekick was returned. Complete article at the New York Times or at Evan Guttman’s StolenSideKick website.

The SideKick was returned by the NYPD from Sasha to Ivanna then given to Evan and is now is up on eBay for a charity auction T-Mobile will match the amount it sells for then donate it to charity.

The guy’s a little full of himself with the whole “piece of Internet history” description. He had a popular site for a week. Yay.

Meet the crazy lady afraid of pickles.

My favorite theory from YouTube is that she may have been molested by a Subway “Sandwich Artist”.
