“FROST” AND “TOAST” DO NOT RHYME!!!

Just like Threadless, Mojizu is another great time waster for very talented graphic designers and untalented illustrators, like myself.
(via TechCrunch): Artists upload character images, which are displayed immediately. The community can view the designs, comment and rate them, and generally provide feedback. There is also a fun “Moji War” area where two characters are pitted against each other to see which one is more popular. The winner moves on to further rounds, with cash prizes available to the ultimate winners.

Check it out for yourself.

You’re all familiar with the English language, correct?
Then you’ll agree with me when I say that the words “MOST” and “LOST”, which are in the opening TWO lines of Daniel Powter’s horrible song “Bad Day”, DO NOT EFFING RHYME.

It goes something like this:

Where is the moment when we need it the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue sky’s faded to grey
They tell me your passion’s gone away
And I don’t need no carrying on

(I know you’re singing it to yourself, right now. So just stop it.)

The REST of the song has lines that rhyme BUT NOT THE FIRST TWO — it annoys the hell out of me. I hate you Powter. I have a “Bad Day” everytime I hear your stinking song.

I know there’s only one episode left of AI but I demand a new “Goodbye song” … Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Goodbye” is a perfectly acceptable alternative… it’s poppy, it’s catchy — it’s Hootie.

I officially nominate it for the next season.

Thank you.

Soul Patrol.

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories. BUM-BUM!

Back-to-back Law & Order on TNT is like crack. Fuh ruhl. I had absolutely zero tolerance for the show in college, but my “TV & Media Critcism” professor at the time, (Dr. Wead who went to college with Gene Hackman) , loved it — I guess it took a little while to appreciate the goodness — a fine wine, if you will. An unassuming Cabernet.

All I really want in life is to see Mike Post rock the “Law & Order” theme live in concert.

Mike Post, he’s frickin’ talented that guy — he did the Quantum Leap theme, the Doogie Howser theme, the Greatest American Hero, Blossom and more than half a dozen others.

Rock on, Mike Post.

And Mike POST does not rhyme with LOST, DANIEL POWTER YOU EFFING ONE-HIT-WONDER!!!

    that slanty little rhyming mofo…

…so could give him the benifit of the doubt and grant him the slant rhyme…but the fact that he never uses that technique again, and uses that pattern at the beginning but then drops it, is weak form…but then again, i haven’t heard the song…

…but slant rhyme, marty…be a bit more generous to the sap: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slant_rhyme

screw Mike Post. Have you ever seen Will Arnet do his air guitar (and air clarinet and air jazz flute) version of the L&O theme music on Conan? That shit’ll knock your fucking socks off.

NOOOO, I haven’t.. I’ve seen far much less Conan than I should have. I wonder if it’s on that “tunes” store that Apple has..
