Lockedown On John’s Leg
Ok — I gotta admit — I nerded it up a bit last night after watching Lost — there was a moment in the show where they showed this map of the entire complex / hatch area, so I of course had to take immediate advantage of the ole TiVo (i don’t actually own a TiVo-brand DVR but a Comcast DVR — i use the term “TiVo” loosely like Kleenex or Xerox..of which Laura D. validated for me..but I do plan on purchasing the TiVo Series 3 when it’s released later this year).. anypoo, I snapped a pic and put it right up on flickr and a link to it on the abc.com message boards …which I imagine hundreds of thousands of people read .. it’s quite an amazing feat to have so many psycho-fans enthsiasts rush online to discuss the show moments after it’s finished airing.
Here’s what’s been determined so far:
- There are little boxes that say CVII, CVIII, etc.. (in roman numerals that’s 107 and 108) — meaning that in some other hatch on the island someone else is entering a set of numbers every 107 minutes
- Someone within the ABC forum theorized that Desmond was the one who drew this map — my theory is that “Henry Gale” did.
- The note circled at the bottom says “I AM HERE” and points to the swan in the center — and displays what looks to be every other hatch on the island. What isn’t displayed is where the “Starbucks” is located… or the Orange Julius…Do they have those anymore?? Orange Juliii? I could totally go for an Orange Julius right now — the last time I had one was at Springfield Mall in Springfield, VA and I was probably 12 years old. Man… good times…. all that foamy goodness? Mmm… tasty.

Orange Julius. . .you can get one at Montgomery Mall in the food court, it shares a home with Dairy Queen. It’s still as good as you remember, but they sell smoothies now as well.
I *might* have come across some message boards last night as well, in my wheelings and dealings on interportal. And, when locke was selling the house to some woman- that was Sigh-EED’s GF from Iraq or wherever. Also, one of those hatches in the map is a medical hatch, with the old school medical sign- and thats probably where claire was taken. what is crazy is the ? hatch- must be in the middle of the island- i’m sure there is a Cinnabon there. What should be asking of Martyz.com readers- is where those food drops came from? they would have heard a plane over head, right? My theory was its from the others, trying to get them either to a)fight with one another or b) poision them.

Not only is there a Cinnabon in the center of a hatch, but a Nathan’s Hot Dog and a gift shop.

Ummmmmmmmmm.. yeah. People are crazy about that map thing… I was like, “Hey I’m a bit of a fan — I’ll take a picture of the map and put it online. Neat.” …. and other people are like, “Hey, I’m fucking nuts and I’ll only eat what exists on the island on Lost and not bathe like they do, and call myself Sawyer, etc.. etc..” Yeah, there are some serious -serious people out there…
