Paradisio and a movie … and a movie.
Last night I met up with C at Pizzeria Paradisio for some post-work, pre-movie drinks and ‘zza in G’town. They do it right at the Paradisio, brick-oven style. The best in G’town…
We moseyed on over to Loews in G’town to catch “Thank You For Smoking” — a highly enjoyable and funny flick (8.7 Zaps) about a lobbyist for Big Tobacco. So well written, well paced and Aaron Eckhart was perfect for the role as the smarmy yet amicable lobbyist/Dad.
Upon leaving the theater, Carrie noticed that “Failure to Launch”, SJP & M. McConnagughghhhgey’s new movie was starting at 9:30pm – the time was 9:30pm — so what the hell, we made it a double-feature…two movies for the price of one. It really wasn’t crazy horrible (5.7 zaps)… it’s no Academy Award winner but it’s a fun flick. Zooey Deschanel was the scene stealer hands down – she made the movie. No Zooey, no funny.
At some point during the night I set my scarf down and never saw it again
[I bought it two years ago in Times Square at the MTV Store during a very windy day in NYC ...if anyone sees a gray and red scarf in Georgetown, please let me know. A reward of two pence awaits.]
I totally missed American Idol…who was voted off?

As I just wrote to C - Chicken Little is no more. It’s like the happiest saddest day of my life. But I’m sure his lispy rendition of “When I Fall in Love” will become a big hit in the middle school scene.
Oh no! not the mtv store scarf!
YES — it’s THAT scarf!!! I’m so pissed.
However, around Xmas I found some girl’s scarf at Lucky Bar in DC and just threw it around my neck and stumbled home with it, so I figure it’s just the world balancing out… the yin and yang if you will. The karma chameleon, if you so please.
Red, gold, and green… or in this case — Red, gray and blue.
