The Happy Fun Gang Sings “Take It Easy”

Stopping by Walker Street I caught last night’s American Idol — Greg made the perfect point — “if I didn’t have a DVR and couldn’t fast forward through this, there’s no way in hell I’d be watching it.”

The high-point of cheese was when the whole gang sung “Take It Easy” — and that rock’n'rolly-edgy-shaved-head-rocker guy got to have his little solo…and the little nerdy -Chicken Little-kid got to sing with the grownups…

Good times. I can’t stand to watch the cheese, but gosh it’s so tasty.

So recently I’ve been enthralled with
“The Da Vinci Code”. With all it’s twists, turns, hidden secrets, meanings and explanations of the history of humanity…it’s very captivating.

Yesterday, I was nearing the end, and at THE climax of the book… the showdown versus good and evil, where everything comes together….

“Shoot me if you have to. I’m leaving my grandfather’s legacy in your hands”

Very well. Teabing aimed the weapon.

Our club’s overall rate of return has been 6 percent, and some year’s it has gone as high as 15 percent.

Notice something odd about that? I continued flipping pages and found that the 30 pages that were supposed to be the end of “The Da Vinci Code” turned out to be the last 30 pages of “Girl, Let Your Money Grow!” a financial guide for women. Some mixup at the printer completely erased the most crucial part of this most enthralling novel and replaced it with a damn how-to book.

I thought my brain was going to implode from the sheer frustration. To calm myself, the same night I got my Dad’s copy and finished it…phew.

Click the pic on the left to see for yourself. It’s an actual scan of where it all goes wrong.

Fortunately, I didn’t pay for this book, but rather borrowed from my local library. Me and mrs. librarian are about to have a little chat… it’s go time, librarian lady.

I’ll ask to keep this copy of the book though.. how often does that happen? Fuh real.
