Encore

This is something that I would never do, but made me laugh.
As more venues become smoke-free, and less people are carrying lighters, how are we supposed to communicate to our rock gods performing on stage that they must not stop rocking with their sweet rocking ballads? The answer is here.

So lo- St

If I were standing in NYC, the above title translates into “So long, Stern” — but since people in the crowd to see him off are yelling out “Fuck yeah” and “You fuckin’ rule” etc.., the show is getting chopped into little bits and pieces.
You can check out pics and video from the event at [...]

Wonder Showzen & Widgets

My network connection is whack at both home and work hence the no posty for the last couple days.
This past weekend, was Laura Dec’s ass-kicking Xmas Gala where our old company had a bit of a reunion. I had about 88 oz. of Miller Lite prior to arriving then washed that down with some jello [...]

Buy an XBOX 360 TODAY (picture only)

With all hot products on ebay, along with it come scammy flammy’s.
Today’s scammy flammy comes from the UK where a guy put up an auction for an XBOX 360 — a PICTURE of an XBOX 360 — in small print at the bottom the auction reads: “This auction is not for an XBOX 360, but [...]

The Couchbike

These guys took an old couch and made it into a bike…and yes, they just went through a drive-thru — classic.

Check out a video of the CouchBike in action.

Last night, we saw “The Chronicles of Narnia I” — very well done. 6.5 Zaps — only 6.5 because I was hoping for less predictability [...]

Coverflow — thoughts arrive like butterflies

This dude has captured mine and I’m sure many other people’s feelings about the storage of digital music — seeing a title of a song or the name of an album gives you no sense of tangibility — you can’t smell that resin from your old Dusty Springfield record or when your cat peed all [...]

Map Mania!

Google Transit has just launched, a service now in beta that works only for Portland, OR — but once that thing is live nationwide, it’s gonna be one handy tool.
Check out the beginning of Google Transit, brewing in Google Labs.
Microsoft has actually launched something semi-useful — Windows Live Local — that not only [...]

Name the 7 deady sins. This was one question of 30 listed on last night’s martyversary pub quiz at Molly Malone’s that I think our team got right.. who knows… it’s all a drunken blur. Many thanks to all who attended and for buying my burger and beers.
Our “party” was divided into 3 groups [...]

Here’s a link to Dane Cook’s monologue from SNL on Saturday it… watch it & enjoy. 9 Minutes of hilarity.

Philly & the Scandinavians

This weekend Carrie surprised me with a an early bday present - a trip to Philly to see Marc Broussard … it was the first time we’d seen him since Austin’s ACLFest last year. Excellent show at a very cool venue, the TLA.
What was no excellent nor cool was the traffic situation traveling from [...]
