office part deux
I was 85% pleased with the American remake of “The Office” ? the
pacing was a smidge off and the Steve Carrell character “Michael
Scott” tried to be a little too funny. But overall, they did a much
better job of capturing the Brit-essence of the original than they did
with “Coupling” ? ugh — what a suckfest that was. I would watch the
office part deux again — I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the Gareth
counterpart yet… he had a couple funny moments — but i dunno.
Carrie did me the pleasure of taping Monday’s “24″ which I saw last
night (spoiler ahead) after some quality stir fry at “Flat Top” I
can’t believe Barouz’s mom is DEAD now! That Marwan guy ? he’s a bad
bad man. Veddy bad. And did Chloe always have blonde hair? I really
thought she was a brunette ? did she get highlights in like 2 or 3
hours? Confused was I.

I actually laughed aloud during the Office. That usually doesnt happen with most network sitcoms…and since i dont have cable, i generally do not find myself laughing aloud at all while watching tv.
for all of those with netflix queues-i have a suggestion. Dummy with Adrian Brody. Super cute, clever, witty…and the cinematography employed the use of angles well. move it to the top of the queue today…I will send back my copy today so you get yours faster.
