Cake themed weekend
This past weekend’s theme: Cake
Retirement cake, birthday cake and wedding cake. 6 different kinds of cake were sampled…from carrot to white chocolate raspberry to chocolate… a mass sugar intake — 3 from my Mom’s retirement/birthday festivities and 3 from the Leesburg wedding of Karen & Keith. Karen & Keith are the sister and now brother-in-law of my friend Megan who is a very close friend of the wonderful & scrumulescent Ms. Carrie. Their wedding Saturday afternoon at the Birkby House in Loudoun County was a fine example of a way-fun classy wedding. I got to do the Cha-Cha slide…apparently it’s not that popular among the Caucasians.
Sunday AM, still dizzy from many hours of constant drinking and eating we drifted around the Leesburg Gardenfest in the welcome April sun.
In the late afternoon was introduced to a horrible, yet appealing show on Discovery Kids called “The Saddle Club” by my sis. It’s an Australian/Canadian co-production.
Finally Spring has sprung. Please wear lotion a hat or the classy doo-rag if you venture outside.
