Quick cuts

There are some movies that I’ve been encouraged
to watch because they’re ‘classics’. In many cases, they suck. Old
movies are paced much differently than what I’m used to
and they’re hard to warm up to – after
watching movie upon movie with quick cuts and fairly short
scenes. Take ‘Moulin Rouge’ for example. In the period of 1 minute
you can count about 50-60 cuts. But I saw a GREAT
classic last night for the very first time, ‘Cool Hand Luke’. A
few scenes did indeed drag, but that’s how they did it.
So cope. Oh, Lucille.

It is so cold out this morning that I passed a
Greyhound bus on the commute in and noticed the greyhound riding on
the inside….
I’m here all weekend, folks. Try the
veal and remember to tip your waitress.
